BigFinder no longer uses any form of ranking. Every inclusion has the same chance of being found here. Displayed entries are determined by random principle in accordance with the search key entered. This means that no inclusion remains on the top positions forever. Every inclusion is equally often displayed compared with all others, from a statistical point of view, regardless of how "big" or "popular" a website is.

As a result of the random determination it can however happen that you can't find your own website immediately when entering the relevant search key. For the success of a website it is, however, completely unimportant how often you can find your own website. The only thing that matters is how often other users or clients find your website by using our search engine. And no matter how often we'll send a visitor to your website - other similar competitors will also not get any more or less visitors. You can only find out how many visitors you had by using your own website statistics, if you have any set up.

According to the motto "Back to the roots", BigFinder.de exclusively focuses on the meta tags included in the source code of web pages. Only the following relevant meta tags are included in the process:

The search engine exclusively includes start pages (index pages) in its database. Numberless pages of one and the same provider are no longer included in our search pages, as a result of this method. This allows for increased diversity and makes searching easier. If somebody used search keys which did not match the actual page contents, they will be punished by having their pages blocked from showing at BigFinder.de for a longer period of time.
