BigFinder.de is exclusively focusing on meta tags included in the source code of your pages according to the motto "Back to the roots". The search engine exclusively includes start pages in the search index.
This method leads to the fact that you will no longer find a large number of pages of the same provider in the search results.

Why is my website not found?
If your website does not show, it can be for one of several reasons:

Too many listings: A large number of entries are found when the search key is entered. Since BigFinder.de always selects 10 hits from the results by random principle,
it is possible that your website is not immediately included in the displayed results, and will only show up after having clicked on the Next button several times.
If the number of matching websites is even larger than that, it can prove very difficult for your own website to show. This is no disadvantage at all for you.
The next person using the search might, on the other hand, find your entry straight away under certain circumstances. The random principle rules here.
That also has the advantage that every website is displayed equally often from a statistical point of view, since there are no fixed ranking positions.
If you are on position 100 or even lower in the ranking, you can presume that your offer will never be found using this search key.
This is why we opted for using the random principle where we can offer everybody the same chances of being found.

Missing meta data:
While you are trying to insert your website in our search engine, our robot is going to visit your page and retrieves the source code from it in order to include such important datas the title,

Please simply enter you complete page name in the web search box, e.g. "www.page.de". If your website is now displayed, it is already registered with BigFinder.de.

How can I change the displayed domain data?
During the inclusion process of your website, our robot visits your start page and retrieves the data important for inclusion in our search engine,
such as title, description, keywords and author. This data is located in the so-called HEAD section of your source code, and is also called meta data.
If, for instance, the description is missing or faulty, the robot cannot retrieve a proper description which could then be shown if your page is displayed.
A very easy way of testing which data we have included from your website, is to use the "Insert domain" tool.
If the description of your website or other data is missing in your source code, you can simply change or have your data changed correspondingly. Then retry inserting your website with BigFinder.de.

What are meta data?
Your web pages are usually generated in html format.
This html format then forms the source code of your web pages, i.e. the corresponding browser reads this source code from the server if your website is opened, and creates the page you can see based on this code.
But additionally, this source code also contains some hidden components, so-called meta data. This meta data include components significant for search engines.
The search engines automatically retrieve this meta data from the source code of your pages by using spiders, crawlers or robots.
The corresponding inclusion in the search engine is created based on this meta data.
Concerning this, every search engine follows a different method of processing this meta data depending on the search engine's "philosophy".
Only very few meta data is required in order to be reasonably found and presented on BigFinder.de.
You should immediately integrate this meta data in the source code of your website (on the index.html or index.htm page in most cases), because the search in other search engines also depends on it!

You can simply rent certain search keys or keywords that are very important to you if you'd like to be always presented on one of the top 3 positions and also have your logo or banner included.
This has the benefit that your website will always be displayed once the keyword is entered, regardless of how many hits the searching person displays.

Answers on how to achieve number 1-3 ranking in web search mode
At BigFinder.de, you can rent one of the top three positions in the web search once a certain keyword is entered for the duration of one year.
The contract runs for precisely one year and is not automatically renewed or renewed by implication.
The person who rented a certain search key is notified approx. 14 days before the contract expiry date, and reminded that this contract can be renewed for another year, if desired.
The respective email contains a link to be used for an activation of the contract renewal for another year. If the link is not activated, the contract ends on the originally agreed date of expiry.
The search key is then offered to all other potentially interested parties for renewed rental, and your data is deleted.
If a search key you'd like to rent already is already rented to another person, you can place a non-committal reservation for this search key.
If the existing contract for this search key expires and if you've placed a reservation, you'll be notified by email that the search key is now available.
Since some search keys are very popular, there might be a long waiting list of people interested in these keywords, which will all be notified about the availability of this keyword by email at the same time.
Then it exclusively comes down to how fast people respond. The first person to rebook this search key ensures the privileged use of this keyword for one year.
